Good old LE~9 passed away

I get sad news from Dragonfly and he ask me to post it so you all know Sad

Well I am writting with some bad news. LE~9 good ol pops has passed away. I am currently deployed in Iraq for my secound tour. I am trying to get emergency leave right now. There will be services in Colorado next week . Spred it around for me I know there were a lot of guys that flew with ol pops . LE~9 is gone

Thanks to all of you , not only from me but also #9 . I hope to take up flying with LE again once my enlistment is over ,2 years 3 months to go ,, mabey 1 more deployment to Afgan . Is everyone still flying RB3D or has LE moved to the new upgraded RB2 ? My wife got me BHH over flanders fields , i flew it while on leave and it seems like a fair flight sim . I didnt take it online,, but i had fun with it ,, really made me miss flying ,both online with LE and also my oun crate . Anyhow thanks again for the support

I'm afraid, old friend, that many of us are just LE visitors now and wear the name, in the name of nostalgia only, having moved on to other sims.

and many others....

few still call themselves LE now, although you can see people still check this site, if not fly together.

Those that remember you will always welcome you wherever and whenever you choose a sim to fly online in. If that happened to be Rise of Flight, I hope you will look us up. That of course goes for everybody else here also, which, I would hope, goes without saying.

I was very sad when I saw your post - it'a areminder of what awaits me ere long - my own dad being 85 this fall. Having flown with 9 makes this more personal - I feel like I "knew" him and certainly liked him. I'm so sorry DFly. Stay Safe while you are in harm's way over there...you're a hell of a squad leader...over here, and I hope to fly with you again. S!

thanks again to all . I went to Denver and saw LE~9 one last time , It had been 23 years and some change since i had seen him last . I met up with my siblings also and two of them i haven't seen in just as long . I made it a short visit , since i feel more like an outcast from the family . But things went well for the short time we talked .
I am back again in Germany , I leave once again for Iraq this weekend. I am destined for Mosul this time. I am hoping for a speedy return and not having long waits at the pax terminals . I should be back around August so it is on the down hill slide for this deployment.
I tell you all I sure miss flying both online and in my avenger , I sure would love to make a comeback after the army . I had such a great time flying with all of you . It is to bad that so many are MIA. I had tried to meet up with storm a few years back after my basic training ,, but things just never really worked out. Well you all take care and i hope to be back
